ETF uses training as one of the reach out instrument of " TOR" along with our performances. Training helps in concreting the response aroused by the performances and vice –a versa to build a self reliant theatre movement

So far the yearlong National celebration programme:
1.A reflective seminar on 15 years of Experimental Theatre Foundation was held on 4Th & 5th August 2007 at Aksa, Mumbai.
2.Theatre workshop with adolescent girls from slums of Delhi, with Dr. A V Baliga Memorial Trust. Performed Laadli – a play on female feotus from 20th -30th August, New Delhi.
3.A children theatre workshop for reputed children theatre organization “ UMANG” – founded by well-known theatre veteran Mrs. Rekha Jain in New Delhi from 31st August – 2nd September 2007.
4.Theatre workshop for EMPI –Business School, New Delhi from 3-5th Sept.2007.
5.A series of performance of “ Laadli” – a play on female feotus in Panhala, Taluka, Kohalapur district, Maharashtra from28-30 Sept, 2007. 90 youth performed in 10 villages.
6.A five day – street theatre workshop to prepare a play on T.B. for Ragoonwala Foundation from 29th Oct-2nd Nov. 2007 at Aksa, Mumbai.
7.A five day theatre workshop on Gender sensitivity to prepare a play on Eve teasing, sexual violence, one side love affair in teenagers and college students from12-16 Nov.2007 in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra for Akshara, Mumbai.
8. A convention on “ Theatre of relevance” from 28th -30th Nov.2007 at Nasik.
9. A series of performances of “ Laadli ”- a play on female feotus to stop “ Sex selective abortion”.
10 A 21- day theatre festival “ Goonj – Apne Hone Ki Aawaz” from 8th –28thDecember 2007 in Blair International School, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
11. A 5-day residential theatre workshop 18-22 January 2008 at Aksa, Mumbai. 25 theatre performers participated.
12. A 3 day " Mumbai Natya Utsav" from 29-31st January 2008 in Mumbai. This was the 1st phase of Mumbai Festival.
13.“Theatre of Relevance” in Theatre Academics. A special workshop on “ Theatre of Relevance” was conducted from 5th- 9th February 2008 in Department of Dramatics of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
14. A 3-day workshop on Attitudinal change towards - Gender Sensitivity & motivation
for social action from 27-29 February, 2007 for ONGC.
(Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India) organised by Population First.
15. A 3 day workshop from 3-4 March, 2007: Towards change … Motivational
Workshop for Health providers of Thane district organised by POPULATION First.
16. 36 days tour of north India- conducted 10 theatre workshop in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and
Himachal Pardesh from 31st March to 5th May 2008.
17. Launched ETF `s Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pardesh chapter on 26th
April with the performance of “ Laadli” in Chandigarh on the occasion of Laadli media award. The
governor of Punjab was the chief guest of the event. Sunil Gavaskar and health minister of
Punjab was the special guest of the event.
- ETF 36 days " Theatrical tour" of North India (in Chandigarh,Punjab,
Haryana, Himachal and Delhi.) was very productive, constructive & wonderful
tour.
ETF performed play " Laadli" - (on sex selective abortion ) to save our
daughter. For the right to be born. Celebrating the birth of girl child.This
play will be performed in front of potential 130 thousand audience.Conducted
10 theatre workshop (in which 250 students, 250 teachers , 30social workers
and 60 theatre practitioners participated ) in Delhi,Haryana, Punjab,
Chandigarh and Himachal Pardesh from 31st March to 5th May2008.
Launched ETF `s Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pardes
chapter on 26th April with the performance of " Laadli" in Chandigarh on the
occasion of Laadli media award. The governor of Punjab was the chief guest
of the event. The health minister of Punjab was the special guest of the
event. It was a full fledged media event.
18. Conducted two day 8th -9th May 2008 Theatre workshop for 100 children in IIT Mumbai for Nav Nirmiti.
· “ Theatre of Relevance” with Corporate: Theatre of Relevance philosophy has achieved new heights by fulfilling the commitment of theatre as a tool of change by empowering the management of leading Navratna – public sector corporate of Government of India. The participants explored the concepts of management, leadership, self effectiveness, Team building, group dynamics, interpersonal relationship, achievement motivation, strategic thinking, positive attitude and managing change and leading by Values through “TOR” processes and internalized by performing the play “ Our iceberg is melting”. The series of programme and performances held at Noida, Hardwar, Mussoorie and Jaipur. The training module was residential and outbound.
· Business School: “ TOR” processes are adopted in EMPI Business School syllabus since last three years in New Delhi. The module is tilted “ Role of theatre in HR”. EMPI’s Udai Pareek HR-LABS takes this initiative. This year the MBA – students performed two plays “ We will prevail” to understand leadership and management and “ Laadli” to undertake the corporate social initiative. The play “ Laadli” is the voice of countless unborn girl child. The play was formed in various slums and other theatrical venue in Delhi.
· International participants internalized the concept of Leadership: 25 international participants from 16 countries i.e. former USSR countries, Arab countries, South African countries and south East Asian countries learnt the concept of leadership through “ TOR”. They performed the play “ Motherland of our Dreams” at Noida.
· ETF Nasik chapter organised “ Training of Trainer” on “TOR”: A training of trainer programme was organised by ETF Nasik chapter. 35 participants participated in two phases of the training and performed 50 show of four plays “ Laadli, Mera Bachpan, Aamche Adrash and premiered a new play “ Garbh”. The performances held in regular theatrical and alternative (New) theatrical venues in Nasik city and rural. The participants are now conducting theatre workshop of their own on “ TOR”. Very recently 3day theatre workshop was held from 23-25th Oct. for youth.
- “Theatre of Relevance” in Theatre Academics
- Manjul Bhardwaj has been invited by Department of Dramatics of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University to conduct a special workshop on his philosophy “ Theatre of Relevance” from 5th- 9th February 2008 in Aurangabad.
- This special residential (120 hours) module will cover the understanding, fundamentals, principles, concepts and processes of “ Theatre of Relevance”. The participants will explore themselves through“ Theatre of Relevance” processes and will act as resource and create a theatre of their own in a theatre laboratory which facilitates learning through experience, reflections, experiments, hypothesizing and conceptualizing.
· 10-14 Nov 2008 - Five day Residential theatre workshop with teenagers and youth to understand gender and violence against women. After the workshop the actors will perform play on the above themes for two weeks to support the “ Violence against women campaign” in various colleges and other venues in Mumbai from 25 Nov –10th Dec.
· Five day Theatre workshop with NMIMS management students in Mumbai
· A series of theatre workshop with the youth with the themes “ Discover the Heroes within”.
· Performances of the new play “ Garbh” along with other on going shows of Laadli and Mein Aurat Hoon!
