Forward on “Theatre of Relevance”- By Manjul Bharadwaj   BACK

I (Manjul Bharadwaj) started my journey in theatre as an actor. After acting in theatre for more than a decade, I realised that my inner self (behaviour, attitude, personality & value) has changed.

I started to explore how this has happened? I look in side my self and explored the process. Which opened the door to understand the power and effectiveness of theatre. This enlightenment led me to discover different unexplored processes of theatre, which are not being shared with the audience. After this exploration I visualized the philosophy “Theatre of Relevance” and formally started practicing the same from 12th August 1992 when I founded The Experimental Theatre Foundation.

Different people and I (who have worked with me) are documenting “Theatre of Relevance”. Every day a new dimension of “Theatre of Relevance” is explored and adding to the documentation. Therefore, documentation of “Theatre of Relevance” is an ongoing and continuous process. Every single person who is practicing “Theatre of Relevance” is enriching theatre and helping the human beings to become a better human.    BACK
